The book revolves around three areas, the power of Love, Mental fortitude, and Knowing one’s purpose.
Beyond just a feeling, Veronica shares her thoughts about love, a very important foundation from her point of view as a Christian, showing that to overcome challenges, belief in God and the true understanding of self can keep you grounded during challenging times.
She went on to discuss the power of the mind and how positive thoughts and imagination can guarantee the activation of the power within. Veronica points out the importance of controlling our thoughts and how negative thoughts can be a stumbling block to progress. Trust and faith in God are an important foundation for having positive thoughts and the right attitude despite challenges because God is ultimately in control.
Veronica emphasises that to activate the power within, one should know their purpose. Knowing your purpose involves being committed to the lifestyle that would guarantee you whether as a medical professional being committed to constant research and networking with other medical professionals and demonstrating genuine love for patients or as an athlete being committed to a lifestyle of healthy diet, exercise, and rest. It is interesting how Veronica connects her success with her Christian experience which acts as a beacon to keep her focused and grounded to her purpose.
In closing, for me "Inside Out: Activate The Power Within You" was not just a motivational book, it was a way for me to reflect on myself and put things into perspective. Oftentimes we tend to focus too much on past failures negatives. We should instead as an athlete, focus on the goal ahead, the finish line, the positive, and work towards becoming a better version of ourselves, looking to navigate life's challenges with grace and purpose. Through Veronica Campbell Brown's insights, I have been encouraged to stick to my transformative journey, unlocking my inner power and achieving my success.
I started reading this book as a fan and found more than an entertaining read but guidance and the necessary nudge I needed to keep my mind focused on what is before me and not negative memories of what looked like missed opportunities.
